With the new feature now you can get the idea of the video content before it is being fully downloaded.
The feature is currently available in Android app for now, but will be rolled out to other platforms soon. It not only saves time but also precious data if you are on a mobile data plan. The feature is currently available in the WhatsApp beta app from Play Store.
